Sculpture equals fun...

Monday, we filled eighteen plaster molds with molten metal. How many classes let you walk away with that experience and a chunk of bronze in whatever form you want?

Intermediate sculpture with Professor Reuter has been a blast and even though it’s quite labor intensive, and I feel like I was hit by a truck, I have to pause and appreciate all of the work that went into the making of the truck. If molds were used, I can relate.

From the tear jerking smell of silicone and the sizzling frustration of hot wax to the endless buckets of plaster/sand ‘milkshakes’, the profits of the process are finally being realized.

A sculpture which started in clay has now taken it’s form in bronze.
The class proves to be invigorating and valuable. I recommend it.
